Prestressing methods in Prestressed Concrete – Types and methodology
The prestressing in Prestressed concrete is done by inducing predetermined compressive stresses to concrete by tensioning the steel, before subjecting it to service loads. In prestressed Concrete the stress developed during the service stage is countered by the already induced compressive stresses.
